St Jude's Church was dedicated on 21 March 1914. It was built at a cost of £1500.1 It was designed in a Gothic style and built in red brick; the architects were Richardson & Wood, of the Stock Exchange, Melbourne.2 The building was sold in 1999 and the contents dispersed.

The organ was one of the first constructed by Hill, Norman & Beard after the cessation of the war and included many earlier components, such as the slider windchests, pipework and console fittings. The case, in Australian hardwood, with some discrete carvings, was probably designed by the firm's managing-director W.A.F. Brodie. After the closure of the church, the organ was removed by Australian Pipe Organs Pty Ltd, but sadly it was not possible to install it elsewhere and the parts remain in storage.
