This modern brick veneer building, seating 400 people, was constructed in the late 1990s to accommodate a second congregation within Albany's rapidly growing Free Reformed Church community.

The organ was built in 1913 by Frederick Taylor, Melbourne, for the Methodist Church, Mount Gambier, South Australia. It was rebuilt in 1967 by Hill, Norman & Beard (Australia) Pty Ltd, which involved an electrification of the actions, provision of a new console, installation of mutations and mixtures and an extensive enlargement of the Pedal Organ through borrowing. It was acquired by Bruce Lindsay in 1994 and installed in his residence in Lenswood, South Australia. The organ was revoiced and enlarged in 1996 by George Stephens, which included a new Great Mixture, revision of the Swell Mixture and provision of a Pedal Trombone 16, partly borrowed from the Great Trumpet. It was installed in the Australian Lutheran Seminary, North Adelaide in 1998 by Bruce Lindsay.

As a result of a listing on the Redundant Organs Register of OHTA, it was acquired in 2009 by Jake Maring for the Free Reformed Church of West Albany, who installed it in the Free Reformed Church of West Albany in 2010-11 on a purpose-built rear gallery. Tuning and pipe regulation was carried out in June 2010 by Pipe Organs W.A. Pty Ltd.
