The organ in this residence was built by Whitehouse Bros of Brisbane for the Baptist Church, Windsor Road, Red Hill. The records of the firm give the cost as £517.10.0, and the date as 1923-24,1 but it was not opened and dedicated until Friday 19 June 1925:

The opening of the new pipe organ recently installed in the Windsor-road Baptist Church by Whitehouse Bros, will take place next Friday evening at 8 o'clock when a recital will be given by Mr. R. J. Archibald. The West End Methodist Choir will assist with the programme. The dedication services will be conducted by the pastor (Rev. T. Leitch) on the Sunday, and in the afternoon at 3 o'clock the choir, under the direction of the choir master, Mr. W Evans, will render a sacred concert. The Rev. W. G. Pope will preside. The services will be continued on Sunday, June 28, when a piano service will be held in the afternoon, when the Rev. Dr. G. E. Rowe will preside.2

The instrument was removed to its present location around 1991.3
