Nicking
All original Principal pipework is very lightly nicked, and on the
languid only. Nicking patterns are shown in Plates 5 and 9.
All original Principal pipework has inscriptions written on the upper
lip with Indian Ink. The Hauptwerk ranks are labelled as "Manual.", and
those on the Unterwerk as "Positiv". A# and B are labelled as B and H
respectively. Some later replacement pipes exhibit three different
styles of inscription.
(1)Replacement plain metal pipes with Indian Ink inscriptions which
are attempted copies of the original inscriptions.
(2)Replacement plain metal pipes with scribed inscriptions of the
style to be found in organs built by Alfred Fuller.
(3)Replacement spotted metal pipes with inscriptions in Fincham
style.
Additionally, there are recent replacement pipes with stamped inscriptions.

All of the above ranks are full compass, but the Hauptwerk 16 Fuss
Bourdon has wooden pipes only in the range C - b0, and the Pedal 8 Fuss
Principalbass for C - B. The remaining ranks consist entirely of wooden
pipes. The wooden pipes do not have rack boards, but generally are held
into the upper board by means of tapered feet. No arched mouths are
present on wooden pipes.

The stopped pipes have canister stoppers and large ears. These are shown

The Hauptwerk 4 fach Cornett is not original, and was not
investigated any further. The one remaining original pipe of this
rank is shown in the frontispiece, where its measurements are given.
Except for the 4 fach Cornett, all incomplete ranks above have their
lowest notes borrowed from other ranks.

Plate 17 shows the inscription on the C pipe of the Unterwerk 2 Fuss Flageolet.

The Reeds, consisting of:
Hauptwerk: 8 Fuss Trompete
Pedal: 16 Fuss Posaune
These ranks are the recent replacments of the original pipework which has been missing
since living memory. The new pipework has been made to correspond as closely as
possible to what the original pipes may have been. Consequently, the new pipework has
wooden boots made to the exact size of the square holes in the rack board.
Both of these ranks are full compass and have funnel shaped, full length resonators.
The Hauptwerk 8 Fuss Trompete has spotted metal resonators, whereas those for the Pedal
16 Fuss Posaune are zinc. Wooden boots are present on the following pipes.
